We’re raising our prices / New Italian evening class dates

August 24, 2026 by Daniel

We’re raising our prices

We’re not sure when we last raised the prices of our Italian classes in Bologna – we think it was in 2023, so several years back.

But needs must – for a couple of years we’ve been paying our Italian teachers more, and further salary increases are scheduled.

Besides, EVERYTHING costs more than it did in 2023. The price of 500g of pasta in an Italian supermarket is shocking!

So from September 1st 2026, which is next Tuesday, the prices of group classes displayed on our Prices page will increase by approximately 10%.

Individual and online lesson prices won’t change, as we have modified those already. But the GROUP classes will all cost more.

What about people who have already booked their course/paid a deposit?

You can expect to pay the ‘old’ price, which we’ll print before the Prices page is modified next week, and keep handy at reception.

If that’s your case, also don’t hesitate to remind us – when the time comes to pay the balance of your course cost (normally on the first day of the course) – that you should be paying the ‘old’ price because you booked before September 1st 2026.

And of course, if you haven’t booked an Italian course yet, but were planning to, there’s nothing to stop you filling in the booking form and paying a deposit this week, so avoiding the course cost hike.

New Italian evening class dates

Enrollments are open for the autumn/fall session of evening classes at our Italian school in Bologna.

Anyone who’s living or studying here could take advantage of the months from September to December to improve their Italian an entire level!

The three-week (18 hour) ‘modules’ are programmed to begin on 28th/29th September 2026, after which there will be three further modules, each also lasting three weeks, so 72 hours in total.

We hope to open three or four classes, at different levels from beginner to upper-intermediate.

Read more about Italian evening courses in Bologna (including the scheduled dates for all four autumn/fall term modules) on the Italian evening courses page of the school website.

Details of course costs are on the Prices page – scroll down to the second section, ‘Italian Language Evening Classes’. You might also want to look at the Discounts page.

And/or contact us to find out more, and to arrange a level test if you don’t already know yours.

So what about those of you who are not free in the evenings, or who aren’t in Bologna? Here are links to explore our other Italian course options:
