March 17, 2021 by Daniel Leave a Comment

From next week (March 22nd 2021), we have a yet another module of our three Italian evening classes. They’re STILL in online mode, due to the Covid 19 restrictions imposed by the Italian government and by our local authorities.

The three-week (18 hour) ‘module’ starting next week will end by April 12th, after which there will be additional modules IF there is demand for them.

Italian Evening Classes in Bologna: Dates and Levels for 2021

December 15, 2020 by Daniel Leave a Comment

The Autumn/Fall session of 2020 Italian evening classes in Bologna ends this week.

Students who do not plan to continue learning with us in 2021 should come to the school on the morning of Friday December the 18th, between 10.00 and 12.00, to return borrowed coursebooks and get back their deposits.

Anyone who would like to continue with their classes should, please, pay a deposit to confirm their place. Any vacant spots will be made available for new students!

From January 2021 onwards we expect to have three Italian evening classes (whether these will be online or actually at the school will depend on decisions made by the national government and by our local authorities…)

The levels will be:

A1/A2 (elementary/pre-intermediate) on Tuesdays and Thursdays
A2/B1 (lower-intermediate/intermediate) on Mondays and Wednesdays
B2/C1 (upper-intermediate/advanced) also on Mondays and Wednesdays

All of these groups are scheduled to commence in the week beginning January 18th and to end by February 4th. There will then be three other modules, each lasting three weeks (18 hours) from February 8th to February 25th, from March 1st to March 18th and from March 22nd to April 12th.

Why not join us in the New Year to improve your Italian? In the gloomy months from January to April you could cover an entire level, with just two evening classes each week!

Besides that obvious benefit, for anyone working or studying in Bologna, evening classes are an excellent way to make new friends, even if the circumstances might mean that that has to happen online…

If you’re not sure which class is right for you, please contact us to arrange a test. And if we don’t have a place for you in the first three week module, don’t worry – we’ll book you in for the next one instead!

What about those of you who are not available to study in the evenings, or who are a long way from Bologna right now?

Other Italian course options include:

  • Individual lessons in the school at a day/time to suit you
  • Online Italian lessons, wherever you may be in the world!
  • ‘Full-time’ study, each morning from Monday to Friday
  • ‘Intensive’ courses of up to thirty hours a week!

Italian Evening Classes in Bologna: New Module/Level!

November 12, 2020 by Daniel Leave a Comment

The Autumn/Fall session of Italian evening classes in Bologna reaches its midpoint! If you’ll be around our city for a while longer yet, why not join us to improve your Italian?

For anyone working or studying here, taking two evening lessons per week is an ideal way to improve your Italian. It’s also a great opportunity to make new friends, and so speak Italian socially (while maintaining social-distancing, of course!)

We’ve got two continuing groups: an elementary/pre-intermediate (A1/A2) class, which runs each Monday and Wednesday evening from 18.00 to 21.00, along with an intermediate group (B1/B2) at the same time and on the same days.

NEW though, is a BEGINNER class, which will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting from Tuesday 17/11/20. Join us, if you can!

However, what if you can’t make the evening classes, or are a long way from Bologna? Well, there’s always the option to take personalised individual lessons, even online, via Skype!

Or you could plan ahead… our Italian courses page has details about standard and intensive Italian courses (which are still running, though realistically, we don’t expect things to get busy again until the spring…)

Italian Evening Classes in Bologna: days and times for October 2020

October 5, 2020 by Daniel Leave a Comment

The Autumn session of 2020 Italian evening classes in Bologna has begun. Why not join us to improve your Italian?

We’ve got three groups, an A1/A2 (elementary/pre-intermediate) which began last week on Monday 28th of September, a B1/B2 (intermediate/upper-intermediate) which starts this evening (Monday 05/10/20), and a C1/C2 (advanced), programmed for Tue/Thurs 18.00-21.00 but not yet confirmed.

Our usual maximum group size is ten, but due to the necessity for social-distancing, especially in enclosed spaces, we’re limiting the numbers in each group to between five and seven, depending on the size of the classroom – that way we can make sure everyone stays at a safe distance!

Students’ and staff body temperatures are measured on entry, liquids are available so everyone can disinfect their hands, and mask-wearing is, of course, obligatory at all times students/visitors are in the school building.

Classrooms are cleaned (table tops, the backs of chairs, door handles etc.) before a new group enters to begin their lesson, and the date/time of the cleaning is recorded on a sheet affixed on the classroom door. Do check!

If you’re working or studying in Bologna, taking two evening lessons per week is an excellent way to improve your Italian, while making new friends.

If you’re not sure which class is right for you, please contact us to arrange a test. And if we don’t have a place for you right now, not to worry – the evening class modules are just three weeks long (18 hours of lessons in total), so we’ll book you in for the next one instead!

But suppose you’re not available in the evenings, or a long way from Bologna right now? Other Italian course options include:

  • Individual lessons in the school at a day/time to suit you
  • Online Italian lessons, wherever you may be in the world!
  • ‘Full-time’ study, each morning from Monday to Friday
  • ‘Intensive’ courses of up to thirty hours a week!
